Magic Hour Rooftop Bar and Lounge sits on the 18th floor of Moxy Times Square at 485 7th Avenue, operated by Tao Group Hospitality. At 10,000 square feet, it's the largest indoor/outdoor hotel rooftop in NYC, featuring three distinct rooms each with their own design and atmosphere, a retractable roof for all-season use, carousel seating, an oversized topiary garden, and multiple bars. The space rotates seasonal pop-ups throughout the year and serves elevated carnival-inspired bites alongside a full cocktail program. What's the dress code for Magic Hour on July 4th?

Dress to impress. Collared shirts, fashionable going-out attire, dress shoes. No athletic wear, sneakers, or overly casual clothing. This is a Tao Group venue in Times Square, so the door matches the energy.

Is there a view of the Macy's fireworks from Magic Hour?

Magic Hour is in Midtown facing the Empire State Building, so there is no direct view of the Macy's fireworks on the East River. What you get is one of the best skyline panoramas in the city and a rooftop party to match.

What's included with my Magic Hour ticket?

What time should I arrive at Magic Hour on July 4th?

Arrive early. Magic Hour draws crowds on regular weekends, and holiday nights pack even faster. Once the venue reaches capacity, entry is one-in-one-out.

Is Magic Hour an indoor or outdoor venue?

Both. The retractable roof opens for open-air views in good weather and closes for climate-controlled comfort. You get the rooftop experience either way.

How do I get to Magic Hour?

485 7th Avenue, 18th floor. Entrance is on 7th Avenue between 36th and 37th Streets (not through the Moxy hotel lobby). Closest subway is 34th Street-Penn Station (1/2/3/A/C/E) or 34th Street-Herald Square (B/D/F/M/N/Q/R/W).

Price increase warning: Fourth of July ticket prices often go up significantly (100% +) the closer you get to the night of the party. Also note that many Fourth of July Events will sell out well in advance of the date. About your Tickets:  (1) Show up early and help reduce the wait time, (2) Make sure to have either a print out or e-ticket on hand because you will need to show it to the door staff to gain entry, (3) You accept the risks and agree to adhere to the NY State mandated regulations and venue's rules of conduct for the evening, (4) Large crowds should be expected.
