Event Description

If you want the best view of the Macy's fireworks, you don't have to look any further than Freedom Fest NYC at Stuyvesant Cove Park. This is one of the closest experiences to all of the action, right on the East River waterfront at 23rd Street with nothing between you and the fireworks but water. Freedom Fest brings an "all American" festival-meets-fair vibe: live DJ, food vendors, and the kind of energy that gets the whole park rocking. It's a family-friendly celebration that puts you front and center for the biggest fireworks show in the country. Rain or shine.

The Venue

Stuyvesant Cove Park is a two-acre green space on the East River waterfront at 23rd Street, managed by Solar One, a nonprofit environmental education organization. Built on a former industrial site, the park sits directly on the water with unobstructed views of the East River, the Brooklyn and Queens skylines, and the fireworks launch zone. Solar One recently opened a new Environmental Education Center on site designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, and the park hosts free solar-powered concerts, film screenings, and community events throughout the summer. Access is via 23rd Street and Avenue C, crossing under the FDR Drive to the waterfront.

How do I get to Freedom Fest at Solar One?

Stuyvesant Cove Park at 24-20 FDR Drive Service Road East. Enter at 23rd Street and Avenue C, then cross under the FDR to the waterfront. Closest subway is First Avenue (L) or 23rd Street (6). No outside chairs are permitted.

Price increase warning: Fourth of July ticket prices often go up significantly (100% +) the closer you get to the night of the party. Also note that many Fourth of July Events will sell out well in advance of the date. About your Tickets:  (1) Show up early and help reduce the wait time, (2) Make sure to have either a print out or e-ticket on hand because you will need to show it to the door staff to gain entry, (3) You accept the risks and agree to adhere to the NY State mandated regulations and venue's rules of conduct for the evening, (4) Large crowds should be expected.
