Sundancer Yacht July 4th Fireworks Cruise

Event Description

The Sundancer is the Fourth of July cruise for people who want the night to feel personal. It's a smaller yacht, capped around a hundred guests, which means no elbowing through a thousand-person crowd to find the rail when the sky lights up. Pushing off from Pier 81 on the Hudson, it sails out for the 50th anniversary Macy's fireworks while a gourmet dinner buffet and a premium open bar keep the deck happy. Mediterranean-leaning food, a signature cocktail named after the boat, and the full skyline turning gold before it explodes overhead. This is the intimate, all-in version of the holiday on the water.

The Venue

The Sundancer is an intimate New York yacht built for a closer, more personal cruise. With a smaller capacity than the mega-yachts and deck space to roam, it strikes a balance between a real party and room to breathe, with open-air areas for taking in the skyline and a full bar keeping things moving. It sails from Pier 81 on Manhattan's West Side, one of the city's main yacht terminals.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the dress code on the Sundancer?

Dressy-casual. Most guests dress up a little for the occasion, and comfortable shoes help on deck.

What happens if I'm running late for boarding?

Boarding begins before the yacht departs Pier 81, and once the boat leaves the dock it cannot return for late arrivals. Build in extra travel time, since West Side traffic and July 4th street closures get heavy, and plan to arrive well before the departure time on your ticket.

What's the age requirement on the Sundancer?

All ages are welcome.

What's the food and drink menu on the Sundancer?

A premium open bar plus a gourmet buffet served across the cruise. The spread includes a cocktail-hour buffet (garden crudité, international cheese assortment, sliced fruit), a Mediterranean buffet (hummus with pita, stuffed grape leaves, bruschetta, grilled vegetables, tabbouleh), butler-style passed appetizers (steak crostini, chicken kabob, butterfly shrimp, pork tenderloin medallions, vegetable spring rolls), and a dinner buffet (chicken piccata, beef bourguignon, salmon with dill sauce, baked ziti, rice pilaf, roasted potatoes, mixed vegetables, salad bar), with desserts like New York cheesecake, tiramisu, and chocolate cake. The bar pours the Sundancer signature cocktail along with spirits, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options. Menu subject to change.

Can I go out on deck during the cruise?

Yes. The Sundancer has open-air deck space along with indoor areas, so you can head outside for the skyline and the fireworks and step back in whenever you like.

Where does the Sundancer depart from?

The Sundancer sails from Pier 81 at 12th Avenue and West 41st Street on Manhattan's West Side. The closest subway is 42nd Street / Times Square (1/2/3/7/N/Q/R/W/S), about a fifteen-minute walk west. Expect July 4th street closures near the water, so leave extra time and follow your designated entry point
